Reincarnation and twin souls

Moving back to the fountain analogy (discussed on the soul page) we can begin to understand what has long been the problem of the western acceptance of reincarnation. Reincarnation in its most simple linear terms is greatly documented, helping to destroy traditional western religious views of a singular existence. In recent years the philosophies of the east have penetrated deeply in the life of the west. Since the early seventies the explosion of the new age movement has illustrated this shift. People are no longer contempt with the birth, life, death, heaven or hell scenario and are looking for the alternative which has been found in reincarnation.

Although generally accepted, reincarnation has been plagued with complications which fuel the skeptics debate. The greatest of these are the reports of many people sharing the memory of a single previous existence and the exaggerated belief that every regressed subject was a famous icon. When one looks beyond the illusion of individuality and truly understands the multidimensional nature of the soul a shared memory not only becomes possible it is expected. Two droplets have simply remembered a third.

Furthermore, although the 'everybody was famous' argument is grossly exaggerated this too would also be expected. Memories require activation. In the case of reincarnation this often comes when a location which played a roll in a previous life is visited in this one. The unsuspecting individual receives impressions of another existence which are later confirmed as a previous life. Naturally, the greater the chance of exposure to such a trigger the greater the chance of remembering a previous existence. It goes without saying that today's world is riddled with stark reminders of the noble and famous, yet little evidence is presented for the individual that was poor.

The fountain analogy can also be used to gain a better understanding of the nature of God. If one were to reduce every fountain to the size of a single droplet, God would not only be the fountain from which these droplets fall, but also the very droplets themselves. What must be remembered at this stage is that God is everything. Of course this means that the droplets are not only representations of human life, but of everything. When you understand that you truly are a part of God you can understand that you are not apart from God. To find God, one need simply look within.
