Meditation

Those who have a little knowledge on the subject of meditation will be familiar with the phrase "stilling the mind", but to the beginner, what exactly does this mean?

Imagine for a moment a deep still pool, throw in a pebble and watch the ripples spread out over the surface. When the ripples reach the pools edge see them rebound toward the center, notice how ripples are created each time a ripple meets another. Within seconds the pool surface is alive with motion. These ripples are thoughts. Now, passively observe as the pool gently calms itself. Gaze at the beauty of the deep still waters as the motion effortlessly settles. This stillness, which you have just mentally witnessed, is the object of meditation.

The meditation techniques which you will learn here can be used as a gateway into your inner self. Once inside the possibilities are limited only by your creative imagination.

Within each and every one of us there exists an energy, a life force. In normal everyday waking conscious situations the force is obscured by less subtle energies, like electricity and pollution. Trying to work with the energies within in these condition is like trying to see a candle flame which is held before the sun on a bright summers day.... it's not impossible but very difficult and not worth while.

By making good use of meditation techniques you can have access to the energies within, boosting these energies, your mental state and your physical well being.
